Dana Bakir is a graduate from the University of Waterloo receiving her BSc in Biology and minor in Human Nutrition, Masters in Vision Science from the University of Montreal and currently pursuing her PhD in Pharmaceutical Science at the University of Montreal under the supervision of Professor Ducharme focusing on innovative model-based approaches in complex drugs. She is also working as a research assistant at Learn and Confirm Inc., a Montreal-based company that delivers a wide variety of services in clinical drug development. Throughout her Masters degree Dana has conducted research focused on investigating sleep quality in individuals with glaucoma which was presented at various conferences in Quebec and Ontario. She is a member of the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation & Education Professionals (ACVREP) as a Low Vision Therapist. Dana also holds a graduate certificate in Clinical Research from The Michener Institute of Education at UHN in Toronto.
