Jeff Plomley holds an M.Sc. in Chemistry and is currently Scientific Director at Altasciences leading a dedicated team of method development scientists in bioanalytical mass spectrometry. Jeff focussed the initial decade of his career in mass spectrometry instrumentation research and product development, designing novel scan functions for both 2D and 3D ion traps. His mass spectrometry interests next shifted to applications development, and he has since worked in contract research developing bioanalytical methods for over 250 novel molecules in support of both preclinical and clinical programs. He has contributed to a multitude of peer-reviewed publications, holds mass spectrometry patents and is actively involved in microsampling research.
