Amalia is a 2nd year PhD Reseacher at King's College London in the Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, for the Cancer and Pharmaceutical Science Program. She is part of The Raimi Abraham Research Group (www.theraimiabrahamgroup.com) which supervised by Dr. Bahijja Raimi Abraham. Her PhD is funded by the King's PGR International Scholarship. Amalia is a pharmacist and upon qualifying worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry as a Research and Development Supervisor. After which Amalia undertook a MSc in Pharmaceutical Technology at King’s College London (funded through the Indonesia Endowment Funds for Education (LPDP) program). Amalia's interest in science has begun since undergraduate, as she explored the potential of natural resources as anticancer agent. Her interest then broaden to the formulation field, especially the synthesis of nanoparticle through green synthesis. From her work, she has succesfully published a study entitled : "pH Alteration in Plant-Mediated Green Synthesis and Its Resultant Impact on Antimicrobial Properties of Silver Nanoparticles (AgNPs)". Amalia is combining her expertise to develop novel nanofibre based tuberculosis spheroid granuloma models towards the rapid discovery of new therapeutics.
