Swetha Kodamasimham (M.S.) is currently a third year PhD candidate in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Michigan. She has received her Bachelors (2017) and Masters (2018) in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey where she first became interested in the interfaces between biomaterials and drug delivery. Upon graduation, she worked as a Senior Associate Scientist at Bristol Myers Squibb for 3+ years working in the drug product deveopment, specifically in the Material Science and Engineering department focused on solid state characterization of APIs and form selection and mitigation in drug products. Since 2021, Swetha has been on a study sabbatical from Bristol Myers Squibb to pursue her doctoral studies and follow her passion for novel drug delivery technologies. Her dissertation invovles developing novel controlled release PLGA-based cancer immunotherapies.
