Field Applications Scientist
Malvern Panalytical
Ronald B. Soriano received his PhD in Chemistry from Northwestern University. At Northwestern, Ron worked in the fields of nanomaterials design, synthesis and characterization. Specifically, understanding the effects of size reduction on optical and electronic properties of materials. Prior to joining Malvern Panalytical, he worked at Keck Biophysics Facility at Northwestern. He has extensive research experience in electron microscopy (scanning and transmission); light scattering techniques (dynamic, electrophoretic and static; and nanoparticle tracking analysis, NTA); spectroscopy (circular dichroism, fluorescence, infrared and UV-Vis-NIR) and X-ray crystallography (powder and single crystal). He is an expert in nanomaterials physical and structural characterization techniques. He is currently a Field Applications Scientist-Biophysical Characterization Group for the Pharmaceuticals & Food Sector-US Central Region at Malvern Panalytical.
