Junior-Groupleader
Translational Center for Regenerative Medicine, Germany
Maximiliane Wußmann is a project and junior-groupleader with strong expertise in the field of oncological tissue engineering and immune-mediated diseases at the Translational Centre Regenerative Therapies of the Fraunhofer ISC in Würzburg, Germany. Her scientific focus is on regenerative strategies and tissue engineering. Primary cells and cell lines combined with natural or synthetic extracellular matrices serve as tools for the establishment of three-dimensional (3D) tissue models focusing on immune-oncology and immune-mediated diseases. Such models hold enormous potential for investigations in an in vivo-like manner without the use of animals and for the generation of innovative therapeutic strategies.
