Samantha Ali is a passionate PhD student in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Florida with a strong dedication to tissue engineering, drug delivery and extracellular vesicle engineering. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Instituto Politécnico Santiago Mariño, Venezuela, and a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Florida.
In her current role as a PhD student under the mentorship of Dr. Mei He's , Samantha focuses on developing innovative approaches to mimic the tumor microenvironment using microfluidic-based collagen spheroids within 3D printed scaffolds. Her doctoral research focuses on microfluidic fabrication, 3D cell culture techniques, computer-aided design (CAD), and 3D tissue printing.
