Marilyn N. Martinez received her Ph.D. from the Department of Physiology and Biophysics in the Georgetown School of Medicine. She spent several years as a reviewer within the FDA/CDER Division of after which she moved to Bioequivalence reviewer within the FDA/Center for Drug Evaluation and Research and later moved to the FDA Office of New Animal Drug Evaluation (ONADE) Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM. She is currently the lead expert in pharmacokinetics where she advises multiple divisions within ONADE. She is currently spearheading numerous research efforts in across a range of disciplines. In addition to her role within the Senior Biomedical Research and Biomedical Product Assessment Service, she is an Associate Editor of the AAPSJ, is chair of the PK/PD working group for the CLSI Veterinary Antimicrobial Suscpetibility Testing Committee, is a member of the USP solubility work group, adjunct professor for NC State, and Chair of the Bioequivalence Expert Working Group, Veterinary ICH. She has authored 100 manuscripts and is a fellow both of the AAPS and of the Controlled Release Society.
