Xinhao is a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate at University of Connecticut's School of Pharmacy, where he is pursuing a doctoral degree in Pharmaceutical Science under the guidance of Professor Xiuling Lu. His research interest is on formulation development, especially long acting injectables. Xinhao's dissertation research project is supported by U.S. FDA, which focus on characterization of in situ forming implant formulations using in vivo imaging techniques. In this project, factors impacting on the implant formation process are studied and mechanisms of drug release and deposition are explored.
Xinhao holds a bachelor degree of Pharmaceutical Science from China Pharmaceutical University. He also has industry experience as summer intern at AstraZeneca, focusing on polymeric nanoparticle, liposome, and in situ forming implants. His dissertation work has been presented on CRS annual meeting, NIPTE, and AAPS PharmSci 360 with best poster awards.
