Patricija Januskaite, M.Sc., PhD student, University College London.
Patricija is a PhD student in the Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) programme in Transformative Pharmaceutical Technologies. She is part of the Basit Research Group, located in the University College London (UCL) School of Pharmacy. Her research focuses on the use of additive manufacturing techniques towards personalised and sex specific pharmaceutical formulations.
Patricija completed her B.Sc. in chemistry from the University of Leicester, working on the intramolecular fluorocyclisation of unsaturated carboxylic acids using an electrophilic fluorinating agent called Selectfluor. Following from this, she completed her M.Sc. degree in Pharmaceutics at UCL, whilst working on pharmaceutical selective laser sintering (SLS) 3D printing for her final year project. Prior to her PhD studies, she held the position of Senior Formulation Scientist at FabRx Ltd., a biotechnology spin-out company from UCL focused on the 3D printing of pharmaceuticals.
