I am a Distinction graduate (the highest honor) with a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. In addition, I was the overall best student in clinical pharmacology in the graduating class. Currently, I am a Ph.D. student in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Mercer University, College of Pharmacy, Atlanta, and a recipient of the 2023 Nigerian Association of Pharmacists and Pharmaceutical Scientists in the Americas (NAPPSA) scholarship award. In my role as a graduate student, I have worked using microfluidics technology to assemble polymeric nanoparticles targeting oxytocin and peptides to the brain for seizure control and these findings have been presented at several conferences. I have also worked on the development of microparticulate vaccines for infectious diseases as well as exploring noninvasive delivery systems such as microneedles and oral dissolving films.
