Monell Chemical Senses Center
Dr. Peihua Jiang is currently an Associate Member of the Monell Chemical Senses Center. Dr. Jiang received his Ph.D. in Neurobiology from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Jiang studied at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine for his postdoctoral training, where he researched the structural and functional relationships of taste receptors. Dr. Jiang is interested in understanding how taste receptors function, how taste stem cells maintain taste tissue homeostasis, and how intestinal “taste-like” tuft cells sense pathogens.
