Predictive biomarker strategies are important perspectives in drug discovery and development. Investigation of potential critical quality attribute (CQA) of therapeutic oncolytic virus drug is necessary to build a foundational understanding in drug development. As an enveloped virus, lipid membrane of virion could potentially determine some parameters that is necessary for virus replication, such as morphology, stability of the virus particles and so on. Moreover, lipidomic analysis using LC-MS/MS is a precise and advanced technology in bioanalytical investigation of drugs. Untargeted lipidomic analysis will provide numerous and useful information in different classes of lipids and fatty acid tails, further provide novel insights in the role of lipids to advanced viral vector modalities.
