Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are natural lipid bilayer containing nanovesicles that are alternatives to synthetic drug carriers. Accumulating evidence suggest that EVs are capable of transferring DNA, RNA and proteins between cells, thus playing a fundamental role in disease. These properties establish EVs as novel players in the field of nanomedicine. This presentation will cover the various aspects involved in developing EVs, their scale up possibilities and their efficacy by various routes of administration.
