Effect of sugar S1 concentration on β-gal activity. β-gal containing square constructs (15 U/mL) were printed using inks composed of polymer A and different sugar S1 concentrations (2%, 5%, 10% w/v). After printing, the samples were stored at room temperature and the β-gal activity was measured at different time points (24, 48, 72 h). β-gal in PBS was used as a control. All measurements were reported as mean ± S.D. (n = 3).
